Lots of emails, saves time

What do you like best?

We have been using D&B for 2 years. It's so much quicker to use this service than to try and dig through LinkedIn and create lists that way. I looked around for other service providers before buying and this was the only one that really got me what I wanted and was the most complete database. They have the most filtering options that I have seen and it is an easy way to get large lists of leads.

What do you dislike?

We still have to go through the lists after we export them and tailor them to what we want. For instance, if we want to find food manufacturers, there are a lot of people labeled as food manufacturers that are actually grocery stores or businesses like that. I would appreciate more options to filter the types of businesses, although right now I just do that in excel after downloading. I also wish the radius could be more of a map view instead. For instance, it would be nice to be able to dictate a specific space on a map that you would like to look at (not circular).

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It may not be a great option if you have VERY specific needs inside of a certain industry. I have found the employee counts to not always be accurate, and there is only so much information you can gather or filter here. I would look at the lists generated as more of a starting point that you will have to do a lot of tailoring to afterward.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It is helpful for market research. Especially if you put the information into tableau afterward! We have been using it both for lead list generation as well as trying to get an idea of the market size in various areas. Since we serve many different industries it is nice to have one place to go for list generation of multiple industries.
