Helpful data quality and structure for our very squirmy company data.

What do you like best?

Having curated company info provided for us is incredibly helpful. We most value the DUNS numbers and hierarchies, as well as our ability to match, revise hierarchies, and easily add matching companies. We are also using Form Fill to increase matching of form recipients to existing companies. This increases data quality and reduces manual time to match people to companies later.

What do you dislike?

Optimizer only looks at a few standard objects to find numbers of related Salesforce records. It would be great if we could add checking custom objects, as that would tell a more complete story. I also wish it were easier to clean our data. Like it or not, examining unmatched records is a completely manual process. It took us over 200 hours to do the 1/3 of our data that was unmatched companies (5K our of 15K records).

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have increased our data quality and reduced ongoing bad data. In real terms, this means that when people search for companies, they're more likely to easily find the one they want rather than have to choose among 5 that all seem similar...which one to pick? It also means that when we roll up accounts, we're more likely to see every contact, opportunity, and other records that relate to that organization. This is very helpful for leadership and strategic planning.
