Tacton Configure Price Quote (CPQ) software helps manufacturers use self-service, guided (and remote) selling to accurately configure complex products and services for prospective customers. Tacton’s CPQ solutions help manufacturers ensure correct pricing, deliver personalized and highly customized quotes, and massively accelerate the time it takes a salesperson to create a proposal using spreadsheets. Time-consuming back and forth approval sessions between the customer, the engineering team and the sales team are also minimized. In addition to CPQ, Tacton Visual Configuration gives your customers a fast and accurate visual representation of their product, in real-time.

Tacton CPQ is also available for the Salesforce.com Sales or Manufacturing Clouds. Tacton CPQ Smart Commerce for Manufacturers extends Salesforce with powerful capabilities that make selling custom manufactured products easy. Developed specifically for the manufacturing industry, Tacton helps the sales organization configure and price even the most complex products and generate accurate quotations. Tacton also offers robust integrations to Microsoft Dynamics, SAP C4C, SAP ECC and VC, and Oracle.

Innovative design thinking in a small setting

What do you like best?

The developers are knowledgable and innovative. Brainstorming is enjoyable and productive. What you think you need and what you design together are typically not the same and always for the better.

What do you dislike?

The organization markets itself as global, Reality is, the company does not have the depth in key knowledge areas it needs to support medium to large global organizations. The gap is only managed with w/ 3rd party implementation support which is inferior.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Small company - write the check, you are their sweet spot.

Medium to large company - find an integration partner who knows Tacton first, then proceed. You will get a good product, but it will take more time and money than expected

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The abiltiy to produce a quote out of a customized CPQ.

Cloud based CPQ, Custom CS configurator
