Nice software yet with several UI flaws

What do you like best?

We fancy all the key features - working with Goals, Feedback, Review proccess and etc. UI is also fast and smooth.

What do you dislike?

However, several UI's flaws prevent making the Lattice usage seamless. Sometimes the feeling comes up that the app's basic cases were not tested, specifically:

1. Update your goal notifications start coming from the moment of the goal's creation, but not from the Goal Cycle launch time. It appears that Lattice is not a thing for planning goals for a quarter or for a year, otherwise, we get snowed under with notifications about the goals that are not even started yet.

2. Inability to change the goals' KPI order. Obviously, KPI might have different priorities, or they might be of different types, thus, it's essential to have an option to change their order. At the moment, they are all sorted by the creation date making it impossible to have them ordered and prioritised.

3. Once a goal is published, there's no option to move it back to Draft or to Backlog. It crucially restricts the possibilities in new Goal Cycles planning.

4. Inability to change Reminder Cadence for different goals, or at least launch a notification of the goal's update depending on the Goal Cycles size or value.

When it comes to setting the yearly goal, for instance, for the 2021 year, we get notifications to update this goal weekly, with the same interval as for the quarterly goals.

The thing is that since nothing get changed for the yearly goals for such a short period of time, we'd rather have an option to update yearly goals once per month then every week. This way, it seems either there is no sense to set a yearly goal in Lattice or you have to come through pointless weekly updates adding meaningless text.

5. Goal status contains goals which Goal Cycle hasn't started yet.

Current company goals' management is a great idea when a team's goals are structured and are placed in one spot. We've tried to launch 2020 Performance Review and we did like to use this feature. Despite the scale of the process, the mechanism was easy and intuitive.

We also use Lattice for arranging and holding 1-on-1 meetings as well as reporters' weekly updates.
