Deckard integrates the missing piece into your IDE: The team
What do you like best?
Bringing up all this information on your code just by double-clicking on it lets you keep an eye on the bigger picture all the time. Especially when your codebase reaches a certain size and complexity. It's really nice to always be up to date with recent changes to the code by other team members and have code-related discussions right next to – and linked to – your actual code.
What do you dislike?
Young product, so it may need some polishing here and there (ui, usability). Looking forward to seeing the app and its features evolve.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth a try. Deckard really enhances your coding experience by bringing documentation and code-related team interaction right into your editor.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Our startup is on its way to launching its first software application in the second half of this year. Our codebase will be growing quite fast along the way – as will our team. We are evaluating Deckard because we are on the lookout for a tool that helps us to keep the time and resources spent on documentation to a minimum while allowing new developers to quickly board and become effective.
