We use Symantec to protect our email server against spam and email threats.

What do you like best?

What I like most about this tool is that while running in the back of our computers, Symantic provides email security for our company. In turn, our employees have peace of mind that every email received is not Spam, I use Microsoft Outlook for my work email and Google for all personal emails (including my small business). I appreciate that this software works for both, so I do not need to use multiple services to protect against virus threats. I have had multiple violations regarding my personal information compromised, so I am very sensitive when it comes to protecting email. I appreciate the protection function "in real time" of this software, since, as one of its reports says, the software "analyzes the links before an email is delivered and again at the moment of clicking". There are several cases in which I have received emails that the software identified as potentially risky, that if I did not use them, I would probably have opened them (for example, emails with seemingly innocuous subject lines).

What do you dislike?

What I dislike most is that there have been several instances repeatedly, not many, but some, where the software has identified emails that are definitely not risky (eg I received a confirmation email after placing an order on a site web that I know receives a lot of traffic) like a big department store. I am curious to know why the software identifies these specific emails as risky. It can also be a bit slow in the processing of scans, but it is expected that it is because it is doing an absolutely complete job and protecting our systems from threats and vulnerabilities. Ease of use and nothing to keep me continuously; everything worked in the background for the most part to do what we pay the software: save time and, therefore, money.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I recommend it because it really limits the amount of garbage you receive on your computers. Between email links and cookies, I used to wonder why my computer keeps slowing down. When I run the cleaner it speeds up, but with Symantec it filters out a lot of garbage. Even being an essential software, it is very necessary to have it on any device. Its platform is extensive and efficient, not only that, but it has a catalog for which there is a program for every need. It does not matter if you are a housewife or a CEO, in any case this software is very useful. It definitely limits the amount of malicious files and a large amount of junk trying to access the computers. Between email links and cookies, it's great that you automatically delete cookies that make your computer very slow. The tool of the cleaner is very useful because it allows your computer to go faster, thanks to Symantec for taking charge of the filtering of the amount of garbage that exists on the web.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

He helped me a lot with viruses and protected my emails. It is easy for the end user to go to spam and capture 99.9% of their SPAM for them. The ability to release something trapped is also great, it is an excellent filter to avoid any virus threat you may encounter while browsing the Internet, it is quite easy to configure with multiple levels of filtering available to you. If Google is not your thing, then you should probably look at Symantec, it can also be said that it is a great security tool for corporate emails, really fulfills what it promises by intercepting and alerting the majority of spam. the attacks that we are used to receiving. Once installed, I do not think too much about it, until I get a pop-up window or an email that activates the software to warn me about potentially unsafe emails or websites.
