Advanced user of StorageCraft Disaster RecoveryStorageCraft has been the ideal BDR partner for our MSP business. Their licensing model is very MSP friendly. Easy to ramp up or scale back as needs change. Simple provisioning and rollout.
I really don't have any complaints about the software applications themselves. They work so reliably and are easy to deploy. My biggest pet peeve with Storagecraft is their partner portal. One downside is that they don't have enough granularity in security tiers within their MSP partner portal. I can't grant my employees only the access they need. In order to access support resources and properly monitor backups, they also have to be given access to provision new license keys and other items they don't really need.
Our MSP business was looking for a BDR solution with secure cloud storage that had a simple billing model. Many cloud backup storage providers billed by both the storage TB and bandwidth GB. Weekly variations in backup image sizes meant a constantly changing bill, which we either had to eat or constantly change our price to the customer. One of the biggest selling points to our MSP product is the consistently monthly billing amount which they can budget for months in advance. Storagecraft solved the BDR puzzle and in a way with simple, consistent pricing. It's an easy add-on to sell to our MSP clients and it has saved the day many, many times.
