Advanced user of Six DisciplinesThe Six Disciplines RightPage app is the easiest and most comprehensive brainstorming tool I've used are either too simple, too complex, standalone, or don't offer the kind of flexibility that you'd expect. RightPage sure beats using flip charts or Post-It notes!) On top of that, the RightPage app is free, it's mobile (any web-based device works - laptops, tablets, smartphones), it supports remote brainstorming, as well as voting (and re-voting) on brainstorming items.
There's really not much to dislike about Six Disciplines RightPage app - it's free, it's easy to register, it has an simple design, making it easy to use, it has an online video to show you how to use it, it's very flexible, yet it's still powerful enough to handle tough brainstorming exercises.
The Six Disciplines RightPage app is a free app in the Six Disciplines suite of performance management software. It gives you a "taste" of what Six Disciplines has to offer. Their "real" offering is a comprehensive program of performance management, strategy execution, and leadership development programs (and integrated software) that is supported by certifed, experienced business coaches. Yes, for the organization that's committed to excellence and continuous improvement - Six Disciplines is definitely worth consideration
We've all participated in brainstorming exercises in our careers. We've all used flipcharts, Post-it notes, dry-erase boards, projection systems - you name it, we've all used it. One of the biggest challenges I've encountered over the years was that most of these exercises were futile or very frustrating at best. Why? Shy people rarely participated or had their opinions or ideas submitted, only the "loudest" (or participants had their ideas heard (or only the senior leaders lead the discussions by intimidation), voting or re-voting on brainstorming ideas was a disaster, and there was no real way of documenting or archiving the brainstorming session results. The Six Disciplines RightPage app brings brainstorming up-to-date. I've used it many times in meetings with many of my clients, and I recommend it regularly.
