Gain insights into your employees and colleagues and have better one-on-one meetings

What do you like best?

I like that the tools allows you to set up different "playbooks" from which to draw questions from. These "playbooks" can contain questions which are specific to an employee's role or title within the organization. If you have a large enough pool of questions from which the tool can select, it can introduce some variety so that users aren't feeling like they are always being asked to comment on the same things every time. I also enjoy that you can automate the reminder emails to be sent out ahead of your scheduled one-on-ones so that folks have time to prepare and analyze the responses which employees provided.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that in order for each manager of an organization to have different employees report up to them, they need to have a separate account, which is an added cost. I would like to see more user management controls built in as part of tool so that and single organization can leverage one account rather than having to purchase and manage multiple accounts for different teams.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are looking for an employee engagement tool such as Lead Honestly, don't assume that it is going to solve 100% of your engagement problem(s) or that it will give you all of the information you need in order to make the best decisions you can. I recommend leveraging what Lead Honestly can give you as part of a larger initiative, which includes other avenues (both online and offline) where employees can submit feedback.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The primary problem we are trying to solve is gaining feedback from our employees. Working with a majority of introverts, we wanted to find a platform which gives them an outlet to share any feedback, concerns or goals they have in a comfortable, accessible way. While engagement with the tool is not guaranteed, it does provide an option for employees of the organization to share their thoughts with their manager or team lead which can help define and direct a conversation.
