One of the more powerful form softwares available, with some minor datedness.
What do you like best?
The ability to easily create forms, with advanced branching and logic is one of the main reasons we have stayed with Wufoo as our form builder. The tie in with many other apps like mailchimp, zapier and webhooks makes the possibilities almost limitless.
The user interface is basic and easy to use, it could use some updating. The power to quickly create a new form with minimal fuss and be able to embed or send it out quickly to gain results is a big plus. No matter what webplatform you use for your website, they provide the embeddable code to easily embed any form, whether you use Wordpress, Custom HTML or even a WYSIWYG builder like Wix, Squarespace or any other builder you use.
If you are looking for a good solid form builder Wufoo is defintely a good choice. If you know what you are doing CSS wise you can easily customize the look of your forms as well. They have added the ability to take payments which for some may be very beneficial withing your form for event registrations or even classes.
You can make anything happen with a complicated form and conditions, yet the backend is needing an overhaul to make it easier and visually pleasing.
You can easily export form submissions to CSV or Excel files. If you use a system like Zapier you can easily and automatically export your submissions into Google Sheets or whereve you would like.
What do you dislike?
The platform is starting to feel a little dated and clunky compared to some of the other form softwares out there. The ability to stylize & even reporting needs an update. The user interface is basic and easy to use, yet is lacking at the same time. It is starting to feel dated and not as responsive as it should.
When dealing with larger forms or reports things can get a confusing due to the dated layout and lack of responsiveness within the browser.
Reports are not as robust or powerful as one would hope for with complex forms. The report builder needs a huge overhaul to help make pulling the data in a visual way easier. Not much has changed in the look/feel of Wufoo over the last 10 years. Hopefully they will update this powerful form builder soon.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a powerful Form Builder and can look past the datedness of the backend Wufoo is a great choice. The ability to customize is limitless.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We have been using Wufoo for quite a few years as they were one of the major form builders that have been around for a while. We needed a way to gather information and details quickly and easily on our website with foolproof solution. Wufoo has provided that for us. We are able to gather information from potential and current guests. It has allowed us to easily embed multiple forms across our website and even emails.
I defintely feel that despite it's lack of current design trends and behind the scenes look/feel/ease of use it is still one of the most powerful form creation tools available, with the ability to take payments, auto notify various people or even take specific steps depending on various answers that your users input. The options are unlimited.
