Trimble Transportation’s products are served by offices and staff throughout North America and Australia. As an industry leader, Trimble counts fleets of all sizes and types, as well as service centers and fleet management companies as customers. Serving thousands, Trimble is trusted by leaders throughout the industry and proven by decades of successful customer service.

Trimble’s TMT Fleet Maintenance enables fleets of all sizes, regardless if they perform their maintenance in house our use third party service providers, to manage the maintenance of their equipment successfully, allowing fleets to ensure lower equipment costs, higher warranty recovery and increased uptime, safety and compliance. TMT also streamlines the management of shops through scheduling, inventory management, repair orders, preventative maintenance, and other critical tools. In addition, extending your maintenance operations from an internal shop to a for-profit service center is simplified with TMT Service Center, which brings additional tools in contract maintenance, invoicing, and discounts. Tying it all together, Trimble’s TMT product offerings include reporting, dashboards and advanced analytics for complete clarity into your equipment, productivity and outcomes.

By combining equipment history, warranty, scheduling, and all maintenance tasks, carriers are able to increase the accuracy and timeliness of their repairs and preventative maintenance, often resulting in higher uptime and fewer breakdowns on the road. Fleets can also reduce their costs by maximizing labor and resources through effective staff and equipment scheduling and monitoring, streamlined paperwork and processes, clarity brought by advanced BI, and intuitive software systems with rapid staff onboarding. Backing the system, TMT products are also available in a SaaS model meaning IT infrastructure, maintenance and upgrades are included in the cost of the system, assuring carriers of lower startup costs and faster return on investment (ROI).

Trimble TMT Fleet Maintenance (Formerly TMW Systems) Reviews

A full featured software to manage the repair process

What do you like best?

It is very easy to get the data that you need, and we have the flexibility to manipulate the software to meet our desired processes. The web based interface means that we can work within the system without having to rely on special software installations.

What do you dislike?

A few retail processes require manipulation of how the software is designed to operate to achieve the desired workflow.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

In my opinion, one of the major strengths of this software is the seemingly endless way that it can be customized. Dieseltech is an out-of-the-box company, and we utilize the customizations to do things differently. While an SAAS installation will be fully functional and more affordable, you may lose some of the ability to customize the software which we enjoy. That being said, there is no reason why a shops processes would not be able to adapt to the design laid out by Trimble TMT Fleet Maintenance, which would enable you to use an SAAS installation.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When you work with paper repair orders and time cards, losing a repair order hard copy often leads to lost revenue. With a real-time digital system, even if the hard copy is lost, the information needed about the repair is still readily accessible to all. If we are looking for history on what the shop saw during the repair, we no longer have to search for filed copies - the list of used parts, the technicians actual labour, and the technicians stories are all preserved, regardless of what the customer was invoiced for. By harnessing the power of the base SSRS reporting system, and the fact that we have access to the SQL database, we are able to gain access to all of the information we need, whether it be in a raw data dump, or a packaged report. Additionally, we are able to market our services by highlighting the fact that all of our invoices include the VMRS coding, to make things easier for a customer who tracks their repairs by VMRS codes to process our invoices. The flexibility to fully redesign the invoice report or data reports means that we can better meet our customers requirements.
