I like the different functions the system has, but an not happy with the errors within the software

What do you like best?

I like the ability to run many different reports and code absences, tardies, etc.

What do you dislike?

The system constantly malfunctions within the software code, which is not caused by user error. In order to fix the issues, I have to call into customer support. However in order to have them re-write the code and fix the internal issues, I'm required to pay a yearly fee for software support. The malfunctions have now happened 3-4 times over the last year, where each time they've claimed they fixed the issue.

Another major issue I have is the way the system calculates OT. The system doesn't calculate per minute, but rather decimals. So almost every payroll cycle, I have to manually add up the time to determine the correct OT to pay. If I wouldn't do that, I'd end up paying more OT than required. For example, an employee worked 40 regular hours and .8 OT, but Timetrak calculates it as 39.98 regular and .82 OT. There's also no way to internally fix it once I calculate the correct OT hours.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I attempted to integrate it with ADP; however, Timetrak was unable to do so, which is one of the huge reasons I purchased Timetrak.

DO NOT purchase Timetrak. I hate giving poor reviews and I understand every company has its own issues. However I can't stress enough how disappointed I've been in the system. I purchased the system to make my job easier and allow me to process payroll quicker but it definitely has not done that. It's a highly disappointing system.

The company also does not inform you of this in advance, but in order to get assistance with their system, they charge you a crazy high fee. All of my issues after having the system downloaded was their software issues; many times their system crashed and did not allow me to obtain my employees' punches. The first time or two of having these issues, the company worked with me and assisted me since I still had service for a couple months after the program was installed luckily. They fixed the bugs and when I asked each time what the issues were, they said there was something corrupt within the programming and that they couldn't do anything about the issue, nor could they collect my employees' punches.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It allows me to code each absence and tardiness with a reason. There are many reports that I can then run, including a report showing each absences and tardy, as well as the reason code.
