What do you like best?

The Best part of Talend is its refreshing UI and Interface, which is a lot better than the competing Informatica and Datastage. Talend Open Source community is always there to help out with issues. Switching between or replacing Data Sources with different Components is easy. You think of the task you wanna do, you spell it out and Talend has a component to do it. If you prefer to code and build some functionality, java makes it even easier.

Talend allows seamless integration and could be easily installed on various operating systems.

What do you dislike?

TMC needs improvement. Compared to the TAC, TMC and log generation in TMC is quite lagging

TMC needs a feature to view the log directly on the console

Uncheck die on error is not working for mssql component

Class not found is a common error we have come across for large design jobs

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you want your resources working on ETL to have a easier learning curve with more productivity. Talend will be the best option. Talend can integrate almost every database or data source known to exist.

Connecting to AWS S3, Snowflake and Salesforce has become easier.

Easier to view and understand the flow.
