Struction Site has come a long way, and is constantly improving; now is the best time to use it.
What do you like best?
The ease of sharing photos with the project team. Struction Site allows me to share a project with a link, to anyone internal or external. Users can also login to their account to view all their projects using Procore. Once they sign in, the interface is straight forward, so new users can begin utilizing the photos immediately.
What do you dislike?
When analyzing a photo, you can add a note, tag a team member, create a new Procore RFI/observation or assign an existing one. These features are underdeveloped and limited in usage but the biggest problem is the user interface, the tags will block parts of the photo or sometimes be partially off screen.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Companies will make promises of innovations that they are developing, but will take years to implement them. Currently, Struction Site doesn't advertise any grand vision because they've already implemented them and are working with users to tailor it into the perfect machine.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Struction Site is very helpful in weekly meetings. It ensures every team member is on the same page in regards to site conditions, whether they are based on the job site or working remotely. In ownership or BIM coordination meetings, a significant amount time can be spent discussing solutions based on speculation of what is built, but with updated photos tagged to a current floor plan, an unanimous decision can be determined in the moment. Struction Site helps us make decisions quicker.
