What do you like best?

Shopkeep POS is a nicely laid out system with nice tools for keeping track of POS activities. Some of the recent changes to fix little nits have been welcome, but it is good for a small shop.

What do you dislike?

First and foremost, the interaction between the iPad POS and the Clover device is very inconsistent. The clover has serious problems with not connecting and the POS app on the iPad does not seem to notice it properly. It fails too often and when there are customers present. It is very nice when it works but there are too many times when it fails.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure this is what you need. The system is very generic. In fact, it would be better in a restaurant environment than in a retail situation. If you have variable inventory, then consider other options. Also, if you need to invoice customers, be prepared to use another service on top of Shopkeep.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Shopkeep POS has a nice interface and has made it easy to handle transactions. It has made getting people signed up to our mailing list easy with its Mailchimp integration.
