SAS Business Intelligence Reviews

Gain a deeper knowledge in your sector with SAS BI

What do you like best?

Even for someone not from an IT environment, it is very easy for SAS BI to generate interactive panels. It allows us to split millions of data rows into a single report. In case our economic calculations contain weird behavior, SAS Business Intelligence is frequently used to define where are the issues happening and are totally internal to our core structure. The programming tools such as R are consistent and the API integrates perfectly with a big number of Data Management software.

What do you dislike?

Some member of our team had a lot of SAS skills, as they had worked with other SAS software, and even for them it was hard to deal with SAS Businesses Intelligence. So, training is crucial to work with this complex software. It won't be enough simply to have a band of individuals with SAS knowledge.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

For ad-hoc query applications, SAS business intelligence is outstanding. The application is a direct expansion of the SAS foundation scheme and the graphic capacities offered by the SAS Business Intelligence are just amazing. There is no need for a sourcing group to integrate information into a system before joining information.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

SAS Business Intelligence is used in the office to produce images which are easy to monitor, so that either they run automatically or need minimum power and to upload. To gain a deeper knowledge in our sector, the millions of rows of data acquired from digital printing can be easily processed with SAS Business Intelligence.
