What do you like best?

- Ability to create your own reason codes to "tag" for appointments

- Works well / synchronizes well with campus student information database

- Easy to input notes after appointments

- Easy to look at appointment availability for multiple people

- Easy to mark appointments as no show, showed, etc

- Ability to create master calendars for multiple purposes (counselor appointments, coaching appointments, tutor appointments, etc)

- Ability to look at notes from appointments from other professionals to get updated information for students

- Platform is integrated in multiple departments so information is shared/integrated

What do you dislike?

- Need to recreate calendars of availability

- Unable to schedule day of appointments without going through several screens (less ease to set up appointments outside of "hours of availability" on master calendar

- Takes some time to learn the program (it's not intuitive and easy to understand at first...definitely needed to get "trained" on using it)

- Interface not user friendly / a little bulky

- Limited ability to pull information needed for reports

- Ability to send text and e-mails only available upon separate purchase

Recommendations to others considering the product:

SARS is a platform that although at first you need some training to learn how to use, after a bit of time working with it, seems to be practical. You can use it to input notes and keep track of appointments for your students. I'd highly recommend you find a professional who has been using it to help you learn the in and outs of SARS including creating master calendars, how to block off time, what reason codes you need to input (for tracking purposes), how to schedule appointments the day of outside of your typical hours of availability, etc. Also make sure to work with your IT department to make sure the program is built in with the student information databases at your campus.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

SARS is a platform that allowed me to schedule appointments and keep track of student activity. It provided an ability to input notes (which is built into the system), helped me keep track of students I had seen, know what we'd talked about, as well as see notes others had written for that student which was very helpful. I also liked that I could see and access the calendars of my tutors so I could schedule tutoring appointments for students. It's well integrated as multiple departments use it and is in sync with our campus' student database system which helps for tracking purposes.
