Easy to use comprehensive RFP database system.
What do you like best?
After over 20 years of using different RFP database management systems, I am impressed with the usability and ease of organization in the system. The speed with which my team can locate and update responses is impressive. RocketDocs also seems to be in a period of time where they are introducing new features quickly that extend the functionality. Examples include consistent improvements to reporting and administration aspects. We are a large organization pushing past 1,000 records very soon and the Libraries and Taxonomy (including freeform tags) is very helpful with data management.
What do you dislike?
Because the system is in a period of impressive growth, many of the negatives that may be present are quickly replaced with positives. The company is very responsive to user input and feedback, and we find them to be quite open in communicating where they see future improvements - and then acting upon them quickly. There is nothing that we need the system to do that it does not do. And we are likely not using every aspect of the system - so we have room to grow as well.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Problems are the same for all RFP teams: finding the right data at the right time; and organizing data into useful Libraries and subtopics. RocketDocs allows us to manage more than 10 different lines of business and keep our data organized and structured. The use of freeform Tags for each record is a great advantage for each user to tag items as they see fit for easy locating in the future. As a manager, the Reporting allows me to review the productivity of each team member, and review when responses are outdated and in need of SME updates.
