Great product for smaller transit agencies

What do you like best?

There's so much to like. The ability to create and change routes with a few clicks, compare the outcomes of multiple factors in different scenarios, and the transit shed (isochrone) features are all great.

What do you dislike?

It's a newer product, so integration with other systems typically employed by larger transit agencies is troublesome. However, once they get trip-based GTFS down (they currently have frequency-based GTFS export available), it will work with anything else that can import or use GTFS.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are a large agency, Remix has the potential to add discrete capabilities, but it more than likely won't replace systems you use for planning and scheduling. If you are a smaller agency, Remix can significantly expand your capabilities and drastically the reduce the time it takes to do planning work. I will say, though, that Remix has a large and growing (multi-national) customer base, and the Remix team has demonstrated a keen ability to learn from those agencies and rapidly implement improvements and new capabilities (relative to other companies). They're continuously building their "transit chops." Their customer support is also top notch. Lastly, since it's a SaaS, there's absolutely no IT overhead.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a larger transit agency, we have used it for long-range planning, accessibility analysis comparison for short-range and smaller projects, and for outreach and collaboration.
