Qualtrics, Great Survey Tool for Research
What do you like best?
Qualtrics as a great survey tools provides good analytics of the collec`ted data. This factor made report writing easy for me. The surveys created by Qualtrics are very eye cathcy. The programming is very simple. At first I was very apprehensive to work on it, thinking the difficulty level will be much higher than that of SurveyMonkey. But to my surprise, it was easy to program surveys. Its user friendly interface is an advantage. It is a great way to collect data of any sort. Apart from my official work, I have also used the tool to get feedback from memebers of our church community on the initiatives and works undertaken during the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020. Normally, this work would have been a lot of paperwork. But, Qualtrics helped to conduct a successful survey and made it possible to get feedback from the people living in the constrains due to the pandemic.
What do you dislike?
During some occassions I had difficulty in formatting on some of the survey questions. There were also couple of instances when the tool gives error and donnot save the changes made. Can be a little frustating when you have very short time window. Qualtrics also requires good programming skills (Java) if you wish to create complex surveys. Lastly, the tool will be bad idea if the primary creator and the one who maintains the survey are different. Its time consuming in cases where we have to make changes or add participants. The primary creator of the survey has to be approached to make these amends.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would like to recommend Qualtrics to anyone who wishes to start a survey. It can be both professional and personal. With Qualtrics you can create eye cathhy surveys.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
My projects are mostly regarding customer satisfaction, marketing and brand analysis studies. One of my latest projects was regarding the aviation industry in United States. The projects was an attempt to understand the travelling and shopping patters of both frequent flyers and normal flyers in the state of Florida. It was supposed to be a long one, but owing to the pandemic, the research had to be cut short. But Qualtrics helped immensily to keep track of the data and get good result with the available data.
