Great, flexible, easy to use tool for gathering information

What do you like best?

As someone who works more with qualitative than quantitative data, I love that Qualtrics gives me lots of options to shape a survey and to collect data. Skip logic is very easy to use. There are spaces to add descriptive information and graphics. It also alerts me if a survey has a problem that might "put off" users or make it hard for them to fill out the survey. I can collect the information in a number of ways and formats--it will create PowerPoints for me, for example. And I can merge and copy surveys for different situations. All in all, it's the best tool I have found to run surveys.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the collaborator feature doesn't work, and I have to be careful with some of the question types. It has cool feedback graphics--you can have users rate things by stars, for example, but some browsers block it, so I have to be aware.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's much better than Survey Monkey--the other tool I have seen widely used. It looks much more professional and does not have advertisements. If you can afford it, I would recommend it.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I do a lot of user satisfaction surveys. Generally, I am surveying users who are trained on software regarding how effective the training. Sometimes the training involves more soft skills, and I am asking about satisfaction. Many of the longer surveys have to do with tool comparison--did you prefer x or y to solve problem z, for example. Or "Information was presented to you in two ways--which did you prefer?" just to improve how we support users. I have collected more quantitative data on occasion, and our quant folks were able to work with it easily.
