What do you like best?

Our school system has used many different ways to set up parent teacher conferences. This year our team has decided to use the PTC website to schedule an notify parents of their conference date with their child. I am not sure this is my favorite method as scheduling conferences but one positive is the ability to send to parents reminder emails and notifications as to when their conference is. As a teacher and a parent, I love that you get reminders because we can be a little bit forgetful these days! Another plus, is that they have tech-support and it's easy to ask for help and get a quick response.

What do you dislike?

They are too things that stick out that I dislike very much. One being that it's very time-consuming to enter in students, their contact information, and their conference date and time. Another issue I'm having with their website is that It does not translate to other languages. I have many students whose parents do not read or write in English. So they are unable to read these emails and we are still contacting them through a translator and a phone call.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One problem that is being solved this year Is that you have evidence that you try to contact families to try to set up these conferences. I've had many parents in the past that if claim they've never received an email or a phone call but this year parents can see all of the emails and reminder emails that were sent.
