What do you like best?
I like that it gives me all the information I need right at my fingertips--plans, job address, all the GCs bidding the job, all relevant information about the job, ability to submit right on the page, etc. It's also been a great source of leads for us, and I've submitted a large number of bids through the website.
What do you dislike?
I hugely, strongly dislike the number of emails I get sent. Since we are a material-supplier only, we have it set to get emails about jobs from all over the country, but I would get 100+ emails a day. I had to set up a rule for my inbox to weed them out into our sorting system. I also don't like that sometimes I can't see the GC's email on Plahub and can only contact them through the website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for software to gain and manage leads, this is the one for you. PlanHub has a HUGE selection of leads in different divisions all over the country, and the emails (though annoying) easily integrate into my BuildingConnected site. I haven't used all of the project management implementation in the site itself, but from what I've seen, it seems pretty thorough.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We use PlanHub as another source of bid invites for our company--we do business all over the country, so I like that I CAN get emails from all over even if it's often overwhelming. We also use PlanHub to submit those bids. Overall, my experience has been pretty positive, though most of the leads I get through here are for smaller projects.
