Phone2Action is far and away the most holistic grassroots software available.

What do you like best?

P2A is incredibly easy to use and its interface is very straightforward. They've clearly put thought into how quickly anyone in politics/advocacy needs to contact and mobilize their advocates, both on an internal side and for advocates themselves! The texting feature is also extremely helpful, especially for mobilizing on-the-ground and getting folks to hearings/mini lobby days at the state level. Overall, we have nothing but good experiences with P2A and we'd recommend them to any of our colleagues in the advocacy/GR space. We also switched from another grassroots software to P2A, and we are extremely happy we did so.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, nothing. The software is all-around excellent, easy to navigate, and intuitive. It doesn't feel clunky to advocates, especially when you're first contacting them. The only downside is perhaps it's too easy to contact your advocates, so you need to be sure to be limiting/segmenting well on your end of things!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our trade association uses P2A to mobilize our grassroots network of over 100,000 small business owners around the country. We've realized that by using P2A, we can segment our advocates by congressional district, which improves our targeting and lobbying efforts even further (in a pre-Covid, fly-in world). It also allows us to spot where we have gaps to fill - e.g. if we know there's going to be some ugly upcoming legislation/regulations, we can shift resources internally to focus on advocate recruitment in X state or city. Most importantly though, P2A really helps us tell our story and the story of our members, which is the most important part of any advocacy effort.
