Standardize the form of communication in apps with Oracle API

What do you like best?

Oracle API Manager is excellent in terms of API development and understanding. It allows our developers to control access to APIs at a certain runtime, which can be controlled by us without major problems. In addition, it supports the development of Rest and Soap APIs, something that many other similar platforms are not able to achieve.

What do you dislike?

Oracle API Manager does not have its own tutorials that explain the use of the software, so the initial introduction as a new user can be overwhelming, especially for international users, since the information available on Oracle API Manager only comes in English.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Oracle API Manager is ideal for organizations looking to develop APIs for greater exposure in the functionality of their back-end systems.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In my company we implement Oracle API Manager to create use the Rest services and with SOAP architecture in all our APIs. In this way, we are able to standardize the form of communication in applications. Currently, it is used within the IT department and by our own clients when accessing our websites or mobile applications. With API Manager, we have been able to enable access to our back-end system on all electronic devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc.). In addition, its implementation has led us to increase the understanding of our APIs and the users who are in contact with them, and also to better understand the use and performance of our APIs, through constant monitoring.
