Because it is a cloud solution, no software installation or maintenance is required and the system can be setup, configured and ready for use in a very short time.

Opterus took an Operational slant to communications and task execution and designed the solution to be clean and easy to use with light administration to be maintained by business users. Through Opterus’ modular approach, OPSCENTER solves the entire retail communications problem, not just pieces of it. Opterus has seen very strong user adoption at all levels of the retail organization. Upgrades are fast, free, and easy and custom work-flows can be created with no development effort required.

Partnership, Tasking, and Communications

What do you like best?

The partnership. The Opterus team has been readily available to exchange ideas on how to solve issues or discuss new features. They truly feel more like a partner than just a company providing an amazing service. I have seen many of our ideas and feature requests incorporated into their system and provided to all their clients, making everyone's experience better. They start with a solid foundation of features and its reassuring to know they are willing to listen to their clients and grow!

What do you dislike?

The use of automation for external applications to integrate with OpsCenter is very immature. The system has a rich API for developing custom applications but some features like employee information integration should be easier to implement than having to write custom code. We invested the time and effort at the start to ensure employee information was integrated, and the team at Opterus was very helpful, but it should be easier to integrate without custom development.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Task management with the ability to edit tasks, schedule reoccurring tasks, and getting direct photographic evidence of a task completion has had a great impact. Honestly, there are so many features in tasking alone that are revolutionary for our stores, it has been a great success. We've also seen a time savings by centralizing communications and knowledge management.
