Advanced user of MTBC Medical Billing Servicenothing even remotely acceptable. Even at this point, and having given them opportunity after opportunity they should not be telling me a year later that they can't build things because they don't have the NDC code and to turn around and tell me that he simply needed education on the most remedial things is concerning
We initially met in my office and highlighted her concerns about a previous company that was billing offshore. He absolutely positively assured me the people handling our account doing coding and billing for us were based within the continental United States somewhere near the state of Delaware and would be available to take calls, communicate with us, and work the aging Accounts Receivable. I was very precise that it's important to have someone I can talk to within the three hour time zone change and not out of country. Months went by with no money. After four months of threatening I finally got an online meeting. For about four months now we've had zero meetings every two weeks and there's not been one single question about anything. When I started asking patients about DOB's it was evident many were never billed. They tried to tell me that you can't bill nerve conduction is an EMG is in the same day and it was only after I found out patients were built that I demanded an answer on that one question, only to find out that the people doing the billing in Pakistan said it couldn't be done and I have nearly a year and 1/2 with the EMGs that have never been billed. It took me three minutes to look up the proper way to build nerve conduction EMG presented to them and then they said quote we just need some education" I find this highly unacceptable as a company holding themselves out to the world as a certified coding and billing company. Then I found out they weren't billing for any of the drugs because they said they didn't have the NDC number yet I had emailed them the NDC number months before and they couldn't find it. As recent as yesterday they now say that all the billing is held up three year because they don't have the NDC numbers after a 90 second Google search found the NDC numbers and gave it to them even after pointing out it should not be my job as the doctor to tell the NDC number is nor should they be unable to find it online or anyone of a number of resources. The list of issues like this just go on, such as cases done at the hospital that they simply didn't bill because they said they didn't know how to build charges for the hospital.. It's nearly been four months and only now they're telling me some of the initial ones were not billed at all because there was no note on the day of service. Only about half of these were missing a note the other half the note was in the wrong day the following day they should have simply presented to me the notes missing and a year ago I could've taken care of that instead now they are responsible for our losses on timely filing. I am extremely concerned as to whether or not this is a shell company and really does exist legitimately, or may have been a blind attempt at a startup that someone walked away from and the current employees have no idea what to do. It makes no sense whatsoever if there is a second audit happening on my practice that I've not gotten one single request for additional information or clarification. I am 21 years in practice have worked in many environments worked with many coders and builders and any other facilities I work out I typically get six or seven questions per week other than the ones I have brought to their attention I've gotten nothing but concerning lipservice. I would not use this company and we are going to be asking the Atty. Gen. to look into their practice and potential investigation for engaging in deceptive business practices not to mention the civil suit
The only recommendation I would make is to not use this company.
Absolutely nothing. No problems are being resolved even after supposedly starting on it months later clearly they're not moving forward and problem is solved by a civil suit and request for investigation by appropriate regulatory agencies
