Issues during onboarding and unwilling to help a small business
What do you like best?
If you need every feature under the moon Mindbody is likely what you will need. This isn't always a good thing. It actually caused issues during our onboarding. Our trainer told us two key differentiating features weren't possible when they actually were. We tried to cancel our contract because of this and they wouldn't let us. We've lost 2 months because of this mistake: a big deal for a gym coming out of the pandemic.
What do you dislike?
When big issues arise they don't care about the customer. They only care they get their money. So no matter how much they've inconvenienced you they hold you to a contract. I didn't understand why my 1-year contract was needed but now I do. It's to hold you, hostage, when their product or service is broken. Hopefully, this doesn't impact my wife's small fitness business too much.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Having a tool specific to your industry is critical to growing your business. We were using a custom-built process that was becoming more and more manual for my wife and me. We've not realized any of the benefits yet because of all the issues in our onboarding process. Our hope is we can get out of our contract and use Glofox which is far more usable and modern.
