With today's virtual networks, and networks that span from inside a VMware ESXi server to the cloud, the breadth of technologies and vendor devices supported is important. Visualizing the topology, and tracking faults and performance from "end to end" is extremely valuable.
Network Node Manager is not inexpensive, and therefore requires management support to fund its purchase.
Discovering faults or issues, related to traffic and network devices, is where it comes to the fore. Through its topology visualizations, it will quickly allow you to pinpoint the root cause of a problem thereby reducing the effort and lead time to solve a problem.
