Advanced user of Micro Focus Fortify WebInspectSince WebInspect is under HPE, it's a trustworthy tool to use for security testing for various programming languages effectively. It also provides strong SDLC integration for developers to work with and combing WebInspect with its static code analyzer fulfill the entire security testing platform for the organization.
As for Webinspect, it's already a mature product but customers would like to see adding more future programming languages and framework support. Merging HPE with Microfocus also concerns customers about future R&D plan and roadmap of the product.
If Webinspect is within your budget, please consider its competitors (Veracode & IBM) to justify your requirements and needs.
AST tools are essential for security service providers and software house to fasten the development time with less concerns on the security issues.
