Great tool to keep everyone on track

What do you like best?

Hotel effectiveness has all of the tools in one spot to keep everyone in the loop and on track. It makes sure people are working their scheduled hours and helps us plan for the upcoming week. The daily labor check in is a great tool for all of the departments to take advantage of. It keeps everyone in the routine of logging in and using this software and also is a reminder of scheduled hours and where we are sitting at the time. It's hard to keep track of overtime with so many departments and this shows you all in one place in front of your face.

What do you dislike?

The software could look a bit more appealing. Sometimes it feels as thoough it is dated even though it is completely upto date and synced with our reservation system. Some of the numbers and colors are confusing but once you get everything straightened out, it is easy to follow and shows all the info you could need. I find it hard to find ALL employees in it as well, but it might just be a slip up that our manager needs to update the staff roster.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is a great overview of hours and scheduling to make sure you are budgeted correctly and on forecast. However, it is really only useful if EVERY department is going to use it - every day. It can be difficult to implement and get used to, especially if you are already super busy day to day. It needs to be a tool that is just worked into daily routine.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Cutting down on staff going into overtime, and making sure there is a very set and stone schedule that everyone can log in and see from home. Some benefits we've realized are that we can forecast the week and actually plan it out. In the hotel industry, weeks can be so different with occupancy and staff should be scheduled around that.
