What do you like best?

I use Colleague primarily as an IT admin, so if you're looking at what it can DO, definitely look at another review. What I mainly do is grant access, remove it, edit access, change information on accounts. What I like about Colleague is that it is VERY simple to use, but if you don't know the ins and outs of it, you're going to feel like you're facing a beast. It gets the job done.

What do you dislike?

I really dislike that it does take up a lot of PERSONNEL resources. We have a team who create mnemonics, screens, etc., our networking guy makes sure its connector is up so people can log in, and then there's me, who just grants access and stuff. It is A LOT of moving pieces and if someone is out (especially our networking guy) and something goes wrong, it can take almost half a day to get it running up again through Ellucian's support.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have been using Ellucian for YEARS, since 2006. We actually are moving from Ellucian to another vendor for this because access has been out of control and it's just been outdated.
