Amazing job at aggregating internet providers

What do you like best?

Very easy setup. But that's not all, it's amazing how automatically it distributes my internet traffic over my available internet providers, not only in fail-over mode but in active/active participation. Some session-less traffic can even be split across internet providers, such as file downloads. This means that even as a single user, I get the advantage of my aggregated internet pipe, not just a single provider.

For example, a 10mbps microwave and a 3mbps DSL2 provider gives me 13mbps aggregated, obviously at different latency rates. I get the best route based on availability. I can also specify that certain targets prefer one channel over another, so for example I force my windows updates on my 3mbps cable provider so it doesn't affect the 10mbps bandwidth. Also, I love the dashboard metrics. Very useful to see what's going on.

What do you dislike?

This has great application for home or home office users, but it's not priced accordingly. It's definitely prices for an enterprise marketplace. Also, support is great, but costly.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Elfiq is a bit pricier than some of their competitors, but be sure you are getting the full set of features you need. At the time I purchased (late 2016) elfiq was the only non-Cisco solution I could find that provided the ability for the same user to use multiple vendor conduits simultaneously. As a small-user shop, this is very important to me.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have low bandwidth capabilities due to my location. DSL2 is available at low speeds, satellite is of course an option, and fortunately I have access to a microwave provider. No high speed cable or fiber available to me here. This appliance allows me to get different services from various providers and treat them as a single "pipe" to the internet. It also provides automatic recovery from failure; if one provider goes down all traffic is automatically routed to the other provider(s).
