What do you like best?
Centralized system that allows for us to run 95% of our business processes through. It has streamlined the services we offer the public.
What do you dislike?
Anytime a new feature comes out, we are unable to implement it due to the original configuration we are on. Apparently, updating the configuration to current best practices isn't something that was taken into consideration throughout the years and now we are behind and can't utilize all the features available. This is somewhat frustrating being an older client with Tyler Tech. For instance, we would love to enable features such as Self Service and upgrade our Eagle Web to it, but are unable to do so because of a configuration in our system done 10 years ago. It would also be great if we could utilize Microsoft tools to handle complex reporting mechanisms through our SQL server that built-in Eagle reports simply can't provide, but XML blobs tend to make this impossible or extremely difficult to parse (I've done it, my computer can just barely handle it...)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're a new installation with Eagle, you'll be fine as everything should work great for you. In that regards, it will provide 95% of what you need to accomplish within your office.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are able to generate documents such as licenses and FFNs for our customers quickly and efficiently. Due to legislation changes, we are also able to easily update documents with newer language without too much fuss. We are wanting to bring Self Service to our public users as well, but in due time.
