Amazing and simple culture builder for remote team

What do you like best?

- Low friction setup and use

- Value clarification

- Public recognition

- Attentive team

What do you dislike?

- Broke connection with Slack and was an odyssey to get set back up (see "attentive team" above, as they helped)

- Still exploring other features so I may find something but really just using their recognition feature

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Scaling a company, building a culture is really hard.

Doing it remotely is even harder.

I've recommended Disco to several people because it's helped us

1.) Clarify our values. We had some floating around but we have REALLY HARD and REALLY FIRM values that we are able to communicate with. I thought these were kind of fluffy things that brand agencies did, but after seeing how Disco helps us communicate specifically WITH our values I now realize they're... invaluable.

2.) Recognition. Publicly recognizing employees, ESPECIALLY REMOTELY, has to be scheduled and systematized. That sounds cold - but really there's few other ways to do it unless you have a dedicated recognition-er on staff. (Maybe you do?) Once we introduced this, it has been some of the BEST feedback that we've gotten from employees. It's made people's days and, conversely, when employees see time go by between when they get kudos it motivates them to do better. (That's not a negative - it just shows how much it means to people).

3.) Collaboration. Team members are able to AUTHENTICALLY call out other team members in ways which, again, are otherwise kind of forced and trite - but with Disco are frictionless and meaningful.
