Citizenserve Code Enforcement Reviews

Nationwide software for municipal governments.

What do you like best?

It is a Nationwide software used by municipalities so if you get familiar with this software and then wanted to move out of state, there is a good chance there using this software in some towns and cities where you are moving too making it easier to get hired.

What do you dislike?

I used this software as an Electrical Inspector. What I disliked about it is they don't make an app so you can't record the results of your inspections in the field. Also the software has no way to give you a record of all your completed inspections so you can verify that they were entered correctly. There is no way to double check what you've done on a daily basis.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

All other code enforcement software that I have used has an app so you can use it in the field. You might want to consider that. They may even have developed an app or it may be coming soon.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's always best to have a digital record of building permits and inspections to go with the paper records required by law. It's much easier to keep track of a construction project from a municipality with Citizenserve. Today every Municipal government I have worked in keeps both paper records and digital records of every permitted construction project in it's jurisdiction.
