Advanced user of Azure FunctionsI have been using Azure Function for quite some time now. I best part about this being the server-less features and the consumption type pricing plan. Like you need to pay for what CPU time one has consumed. Using Azure Functions helps a lot where You need quick setups and POCs to be made for the client. for e.g. you need to create a CURD operation web service for updating a azure SQL database or a Azure table and alternatively we can create a function app to do the same task.
There is nothing much to dislike but yes one point I would like to raise is that for some of my function app the server when kept long time in idle state takes too long to respond back for the first call. This has been a pain point for systems where we need quick response back from the back end server else the timeout error may be thrown.
I have been using Azure Function Apps for tasks like image processing, processing orders, file maintenance, updating Azure SQL Databases and to run scheduled tasks.
