What do you like best?

Since I use this for a remote small business, my favorite feature is the cloud management, which allows me to set things up for my employees that are not as tech-savvy as others. The email anti-spam filter is super effective as well. The user interface is intuitive and well designed.

I also really like the customer support feature. The agents are very thorough and help you fix your issues expediently. This is important to me if I end up not having time to troubleshoot with my employees directly.

The file shredder is an indispensable tool that lets me assure that sensitive information is thoroughly destroyed when applicable.

What do you dislike?

I wish it also had the anti-theft feature like AVG Pro. If it has this feature, I have not found it. There are some things I am used to being in certain locations in my personal AVG Pro that have been moved or slightly renamed. Once I got used to this, there was no problem, but it had more of a learning curve than I expected.

I have never managed to find any downsides to using any AVG program. I did find at one point it conflicted with something Windows updated, and created a memory leak.

There are however a lot of notifications that tend to interrupt our workflow. As writers, it's important to not have a lot of distractions, and the numerous notifications about what it is blocking, or the program asking me if I'd like to scan when I have it scheduled can be very frustrating. I have not found a way to turn these off without turning off all the notifications, which means I do not get notified when a new threat has been detected and/or blocked.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is an excellent program. I would make sure that if you are going to use this for your business, ensure it is the only anti-virus software you have installed. Otherwise, it can create issues. Take advantage of the scheduling of scans so that you can let this software run in the background, virtually invisibly while you work. This software cuts down the need for multiple programs, utilizing anti-spam, malware, and virus methods. It also lets you restrict access to various sites/programs, and truly is an all in one kind of program. The only solid thing I can recommend is go with AVG over any other software. I have used it since it came out, and its never let me down.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am not actively solving any problems, though having it cut my spam to my business email in half has been great. I can say that having the software from the beginning of my business kept me from having any issues. So far, none of my work laptops have had any virus or malware issues.

A benefit I realized was the Behavior Shield feature. I like that it keeps track of the things that are happening on all the computers, and if any of my users is doing something odd, I will get notified. I think this is a great thing that can work in conjunction with monitoring software to ensure what the work computers are being used for.
