Advanced user of ArcGIS Maps for OfficeThe ability to manage content in a xls for many people is an easy-to-use alternative to other technologies. The added ability to map the content and share with others as a web map/app is a great asset.
The ability to manage additional information or new information added to an existing xls can be difficult at times, resulting in the users creating a new map instead of updating the current xls.
Is it a great method for spatially visualizing your xls data
Allowing users who are familiar with xls but not necessarily ArcGIS to create informative web map. The benefits realized is the ability to add a spatial component to traditional spreadhseets
