Fast to test quick iterations and enhancements to the UX before building into our product
What do you like best?
The UI is smooth, we are able to sync data directly from Heap Analytics to Appcues so that we can target specific users based on their behaviors in our app. I also love the "visualizer" which allows me to point and click and shows me what the guides will look like before I deploy them (very easy to use).
What do you dislike?
In order to send the data from Appcues to Salesforce, I needed to use Zapier in the middle. It was possible and works fine, but ideally I'd like to send data that I collected in a field from my guide directly into SFDC (it's possible to do this with NPS data from Appcues, but with other guide-collected data, you need to send it through Zapier to SFDC).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider not just the immediate guides use case, but how you can use the platform to drive personalization and automation (connect to other systems).
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I was able to quickly gather user information from a specific subset of users as they logged into the product and send that info into my CRM so that I could personalize their experience within the app. The alternative to collecting this would have been to reach out directly to the users, which would have been annoying and yields a low response. Instead, I was able to quickly test the concept, gather data, and then our Product team built the feature directly into our app! Overall: lower friction for my users, ability to test & learn quickly, shortened time to collect data (1 day instead of 1-2 months to build it and then wait for data), ability to granularly control the users who saw it meant less interruption for out of scope users (lower friction, higher signal from the data we collected).
