Allows you to distribute builds to beta testers
Can be hard to search for something more granular, for example, you can't do any complex queries on analytics or crash events, or search for specific dates.
The mac app that they recommend you install to integrate with xcode can be very annoying and keep opening by itself.
Very good if you don't need to do a lot of custom "things", if what they provide you by default is all you need then this is definitely a good option.
