What do you like best?
DocSend has been our go-to for sending decks, and now we can finally send e-signs with DocSend. Super convenient to have it all in one place! It's nice being able to send a link instead of having to send an email for e-sign, which I'd say is a big convenience.
What do you dislike?
DocSend's pricing still doesn't justify using this over other services, especially as it lacks custom fields for signing and easy-to-use templates. It still feels rudimentary, but if you're able to cut down on another SaaS product, then I can see it be worthwhile. Overall, DocSend can be almost 5-10x the price of other services combined separately, which, if you're cost conscious, will be a deal-breaker.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Seriously consider if the cost is worthwhile. It's undoubtedly the gold standard, but newer, cheaper options are cropping up each day which makes it less and less compelling—especially if you're a new startup.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Tracking the viewing of decks has been invaluable with DocSend as we're able to address a lot of things for future meetings and see where the drop-off point is for people viewing. We've been able to increase read-through-rates which has helped our fundraise dramatically, while being able to send links for signing has greatly simplified the back-and-forth when asking people to sign investment documents.
