Love what it does, don't love the glitches

What do you like best?

I love that Social Warfare (pro version) makes it easy to add a specific image and description for Pinterest and other social media sharing. The "Click to Tweet" feature is also great (when I remember to use it), and the sharing buttons are beautiful.

What do you dislike?

Updating the plugin is a frustrating experience at best, and sometimes completely terrifying. I hold my breathe every time. One update caused my entire dashboard to vanish. I had to have tech support go in through FTP and delete it. I don't like that the pro version requires two plugins, and the second one inevitably fails. When that happens, you have to go to Warfare Plugins, log in, download the pro version, delete the old one from your site, upload and install, reactivate, then cross your fingers that it works. I haven't updated it in a while because I talked to others who had issues and I don't have time to deal with problems. I actually just let my pro version license go because of all the glitches.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I have such mixed feelings here. It is fantastic at what it does as far as social media sharing features go, but I could only recommend it to someone who either has extensive knowledge of dealing with CPanels (so you can go in and delete it if it glitches out) or to someone who has access to a great tech support person who can go in and fix things. I'll eventually go back to the pro version once I am sure all the kinks are worked out since I can never seem to find a good alternative.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was using the pro version because I wanted to specify an image for Pinterest, rather than just have people hit the "pin it" button and pick one that wasn't designed for the platform. It did make my life easier in that respect. I do still use the free version because I like the social media buttons .
