★★★★★
A reliable KVM-based server virtualization software from ISPsystem

What do you like best?

VMmanager helps us to save money that we spend on IT infrastructure. Instead of having a separate server for every small task, we create virtual machines out of a physical server and run services on them.

I don't think that we solve some unique problems with VMmanager - we have pretty basic tasks: create VM, install OS, reboot, create a template, monitor resources. But what's essential for me as a business owner - VMmanager is a convenient, intuitive, and user-friendly. I don't have to hire a highly professional engineer who can cook an enterprise-level virtualization software. We spend a little on the software itself but save much more on a salary.

What do you dislike?

ISPsystem provides solutions that work in one eco-system. We use DCImanager on the physical equipment level, and then VMmanager to work with VMs. My suggestion is to make the integration of these two platforms even more seamless, so we don't have to switch between two interfaces.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We create and manage virtual machines in different clusters from one user-interface. In our case, clusters are different geographical locations since we have an infrastructure in three cities. Besides that, we use:

* Virtual infrastructure monitoring

* Notifications system

* Network management

* Permissions control
