Great software but less commonly used

What do you like best?

As a designer I love the ability to make plans, elevations and details look graphically appealing and super easy to read. Other software cant combine images and colours in the same way Vectorworks can.

I've heard Vectorworks described as less accurate than other software but this is not the case, it all still works in millimetres (in the uk)

What do you dislike?

Sadly its just not commonly used any more and seems to have been replaced with Revit now. Although Vectorworks has BIM capabilities I'm sad to say its fallen behind in this regard so is seen as somewhat obsolete now and i dont know of many practices still using it.

In terms of usability I have no complaints with it and find it user friendly.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would recommend Vectorworks for its flexibility to be great for designers showing plans or more visual diagrams but also its capacity to do technical detailing easily

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This is an oddly worded question. The problems I have with the software is that its not used by the wider consultant team so there's little opportunity to see new updates or use it much any more.

The benefits are that it really works well for designers and can be used either for simple or more complicated details
