What do you like best?
I like its ease of use and functionality. Considering the product is available 24 hours a day, I'd say it runs smoothly 99% of the time.
UKG also implements a few Share Ideas.
Many times the Service Request team is able to implement desired customs for both UKG Pro and IBM Cognos Analytics.
When thinking about service interruptions, UKG will send courtesy emails describing the areas that are impacted and their estimated time for a fix.
The biannual updates are good and steady, and their accompanying release notes that are centered in one location make it easy to share and reference. Their SIT and other compliance updates work well too.
The Customer Success Portal is a nice feature. The Community is beneficial considering many customers that are peers are willing to assist.
What do you dislike?
Many of the most popular Share Ideas are unimplemented. Often, "Future Consideration" could be substituted with the word "ignored".
When thinking about service interruptions, specifically for Recruiting and Onboarding, there seem to be too many. That hinders productivity.
There have been too many name changes as of late without changes to the supporting documentation. Is it HR Service Delivery or UltiPro Employee Case Management or UKG Pro People Assist? Are they the same product?
Performance Management works well but could use a little polish, like allowing attachments, pictures, or tables in reviews as opposed to just straight text.
UKG limits Cognos Analytics Dashboard support.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you have a dedicated administrator to leverage all functions of UKG Pro.
Know that not all functions will work as advertised if you only have some modules but not others.
You must have the Back Office because it still has functionality now available in the web.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service functions work nicely. We also use the new Org Chart, Employee Directory, many pay history options, Employee Documents, and Document Acknowledgement.
