Game Changer

What do you like best?

I love the reports available and how they can be customized as well as downloaded to extract the data that is needed. I also love the way TOPS Pay works and the convenience that it offers my homeowners as well as myself when it comes to bank reconciliation time.

What do you dislike?

The amount of time it takes to get a response from Customer Service. It has been improving but I still don't believe it is as quick as it should be

Recommendations to others considering the product:

You have to be willing to be patient with Customer Support. It is improving but still has a long way to go. I am currently trying to talk my BOD into using the TOPS website as well. There are so many integratable parts to TOPS that it is a shame not to take advantage of them all. Try to make the time to watch the video tutorials and ask plenty of questions. I would suggest doing the videos close to implementation and conversion time so you remember most of them. It is also a great platform for collecting and managing email addresses for your members which will allow you to do many things, i.e. electronic voting, email blasts, etc.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Data base capable of storing information for our main HOA and the subordinate HOAs within it - similar to a Master/Sub plan. My HOA has over 3900 properties divided into over 65 units with 65 different sets of restrictions. TOPS allows me to sort the data as I need it for reporting purposes and for use within the different units as well as the entire HOA. This has freed up a lot of my time in creating excel spreadsheets. I also love the Owners' Portal. I hope to see more added to it in the future, but the portal itself has probably cut in half the number of phone calls that come into our office.
