An efficient way to transfer files
What do you like best?
Thru is much more flexible than our previous system. It has one link to a dropbox to send to external users that never expires. Being able to share folders with other account holders is also a useful feature. The ability to move files around within Thru and have an organised file structure is excellent. The interface is mostly intuitive and being web-based can be accessed anywhere. It accepts a broad range of file types and I haven't yet found a file type that it won't accept. There is also the flexibilty to either send an email with a link to a file from within Thru or create a separate link to send by other means.
What do you dislike?
Thru sometimes behaves like a file explorer and sometimes like a website, so it takes a little while to get used to the clicks. Very occasionally, the emails sent within Thru don't make it to the recipient and we have to resend the link to the file they need. External users can only submit to the main dropbox - it would be helpful to be able to create a link to another folder within the filing system so that files for a project can be uploaded directly to the corresponding folder. Once a file has been uploaded it cannot be renamed, which can create problems if files with the same name are uploaded and should be stored within the same folder. Being able to extend the expiry of a link is a useful benefit, as well as the ability to have an organised file structure.
