Fun, useful portal for increasing branding, finding employees, and posting content

What do you like best?

Clean interface, career advice section, job postings

Share photos and employees testimonials on your page to give insight into culture and feedback from current employees

Links to twitter and facebook to show realtime postings and engagement

Top 4 keywords that describe company, give a brief, but important snapshot into how employees feel about the environment they are in and can be useful indicators for a job seeker looking for a particular type of environment or shared values in the companies they are interested in applying to

Very helpful to see job performance data like applications submitted and job viewed

Also helpful to see how our page is performing overall and how many views we are getting

The benchmarking feature allows you to request a report comparing your company performance to that of other companies which could be useful for competitor evaluations and analysis into how other brands may be positioning themselves or what other strategies are successful that you might not be utilizing at that time such as more targeted ads, conducting career fairs, or other forms of employee outreach

What do you dislike?

Improved company search feature would be good easy way to query

Way to show our blog posts/webinars/podcasts in an easy integrated fashion and promote content via our page

Expanded job posting feature could be useful to better list or highlight particular jobs, break out listings by location

Feature different employee groups by location

Section to highlight philanthropy and fundraisers to demonstrate involvement by employee base in the larger world and show the engagement the employees have not just as people who work at a company but care about the larger world

All this is dependent of course on how far Muse itself can reach, how prolific their user base it, how well known it is as a job seeking resource

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Do your research make sure it is the right fit for your organization and can reach relevant populations

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Increasing brand awareness for candidates/job seekers rather than just potential customers of our product

Better recognition when talking to new applicants

Ability to show culture and values and employee testimonials on an additional resource outside of our own website to a larger audience

Looking at analytics and reporting is very important to our company especially in talent acquisition to determine how the job seeking population is interacting with us, if we are as visible as we would like to be, and if our content is reaching the right demographics in terms of job openings and locations

Highlighting specific managers give the candidates an opportunity to see who they might actually report to if they joined the company and this helps with retention as it is important to get as much information exchanged as possible between a hiring manager and potential applicant to make sure two people can work together well and would be a good fit for the team, so additional insight into the personalities of managers is useful for anyone concerned about what type of organization or culture they would be joining
