A must for doing local chef development

What do you like best?

Being able to easily provision (via vagrant) multiple ephemeral local machines on which to test a cookbook across multiple platforms and scenarios.

What do you dislike?

Nothing specifically about kitchen itself. Would be nice to have the actual Vagrant config be verbatim rather than abstracted behind kitchen-specific config.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Don't try to install all the various pieces yourself. Just install the chef-dk and you're good to go.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The benefit is local, zero-cost testing of chef code across multiple platforms locally
